Lauren Merritt Guitar No. 2


This guitar is based on the Martin OM body style. The back, sides, and neck are walnut, and the top is bearclaw Sitka spruce. The flame inlay on the headstock is an aluminum mosaic. Some of its other features:

  • Ebony bridge and fingerboard
  • Abalone fret markers and rosette
  • Hand-rubbed oil varnish
  • Maple accents
  • Walnut pickguard
  • Two-way adjustable truss rod

This instrument is a pleasure to play, and several guitarists have commented on its great tone and remarkable sustain. It went to its new owner in Pennsylvania in August 2006.
