I'm a part-time luthier in northern New Mexico, with a primary focus on steel-string acoustic guitars (although my current projects are all diversions from that in one way or another). Feel free to contact me via e-mail with any comments or questions: lauren AT lmguitars DOT com. |

One of my current diversions is a concert ukulele in contrasting maple and walnut. I'll be donating this to our excellent public radio station, KSUT, to support their fundraising efforts. You can track its progress in the construction gallery. I'm also working on a folksy double bass and a five-string guitar that will use banjo tuning. Photos of those projects soon! |

This 12-fret OOO has a spruce top, cutaway, and undersaddle pickup. Feel free to browse through the construction gallery for this guitar and its cedar-topped twin. |

This cedar-topped OOO features mahogany for the back and sides. It has an old-timey vibe and fabulous tone. Photos and additional details are available here. |

I built this walnut jumbo for a U.S. soldier while he was serving in Iraq. You can check out the construction photos. Big guitar, big voice!

The OM-style guitar I completed in January, 2007 was inspired somewhat by violin construction. I used maple for the back, sides, and neck, with Sitka spruce for the top. It has simple black/white/black purfling as on a violin, and a hand-rubbed oil finish adds just a hint of amber. |

I completed this OM-style guitar in early 2006. It has bearclaw Sitka spruce for the top and figured walnut for the sides and back. Click here for photos of the completed instrument, and a detailed photo essay of its construction is available if you'd like to see more.
